It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of Barbara Anne Morgan announces her passing. Barbara fought a courageous fight against cancer with the love and support of her loving family, but on Saturday, August 01, 2020, lost her battle at 77 years of age.
Born on October 11, 1942, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Barbara (also known as Barbie, Barb, Babs, Babsie by friends and family) made the decision to move to Vancouver, British Columbia where she made it her permanent home and could be near her son. She was a bright, vibrant and kind soul and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Barbara had a deep love for reading, doing crossword puzzles and gardening. Her love for nature and flowers was depicted in the hundreds of hours of floral Petty point pictures she crafted. When Barbara could not garden anymore, she turned her extra time and focus on to her family, friends and in baking endless treats for what she lovingly referred to as her ‘grand-doggies’.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anne Ludwick, her brother Rick Ludwick, and will be forever remembered and loved by her son Paul Stasynec, daughter-in-law Maria, and her two precious grandchildren. Barbara will also be lovingly remembered by her two nieces Jo-anne Krasnowski and Janice Thorvaldsen, nephew Dean Ludwick, extended family and dear friends.
An intimate gathering will be held by the family in the coming days.
Many thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Vancouver General Hospital for all your kindness, respect and professionalism. It meant the world to us that they did the best they could to help Barbara feel at ease and peace during her last days.
