Mrs. Berneice Cashin

On February 25, 2025, Berneice Cashin peacefully passed away at the age of 99, surrounded by her daughter Dolores, grandson Darryl, granddaughter Gila, and 2 great nieces Alisha & Vanessa. She is Survived by her son Dennis Mark Jordan (Donna Jordan), her daughter, Dolores Lyla Mesenchuk, nee Jordan & Close family friends Lorraine & Gordon Seymour. Grandchildren: Brent Robert Seymour (Tiffany Jordan), Michelle Caroline Norblad, nee Jordan (Gerald Norblad); Wade Robert Jordan (Natalie Carmichael) Vincent Robert Mesenchuk; Gila Schulz (Darryle Seymour); Travis Boucher (Karla Boucher). Great Grandchildren; Bailey, Britanny, Chelsea, Devon M, Devon N, Dylan, Greg, Izzy, Jessie, Julie, Maeryn, Samantha, and Sophia. Great Great Grandchild: Levi Glenn Formosa. Berneice is also survived by her nieces and their families - Darlene Craig, Shannon Philipson, Laura-Leah Shaw, her nephew Frank Shaw and his family, as well as her great nieces Alisha Shaw-Ritchie (Glen Ritchie, and sons William & James), and Vanessa Shaw (Keith Bustard, and children Rory & Eleanor).

Predeceased by her son Wayne Robert Vern Jordan, and her husbands, Gregory Thomas Cashin (1967-2007) and to Lloyd Robert Jordan (1942-1963). She was also predeceased by her sisters Marguerite and Gloria and parents Lillian and Frank Burrows.

A passionate and dedicated individual, Berneice was deeply involved with the Burnaby Fish & Game Club and the Richmond Labrador Retriever Club. Over the years she raised over 90 labrador pups and contributing significantly to the Field Trials for retrievers. She was also predeceased by her beloved dogs: Princess, Sheba, Magic, Ty, Star, Penny and Max, who will now meet her at the Rainbow Bridge and continue their journey with Greg to their eternal Home.

Celebration of life to be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery (Cemetery Chapel), 3789 Royal Oak, Burnaby BC on March 15, 2025, at 1:00pm for Celebration, 2:30 for Graveside. Reception to follow at daughter Dolores’ place of residence in Surrey.
