Bik King Woo passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife to her husband of 69 years, Wing Let Woo; a devoted mother to four children, Richard, Susan, Harry, and Ernie; and a doting grandmother to Marisa, Jonathan, Lian, and Amy. She also has one lovely great-granddaughter, Charlotte.
Bik King was born in Toishan, China on July 5, 1928. Her twin brother, Kwok Ying Mah, lives in Calgary. Her sister, Soon How Wong, predeceased her in 2014.
She married Wing Let in 1948. In 1958 she moved to Port Alice, a small town on Vancouver Island where she was well known for her gentle spirit and gracious hospitality. She loved to cook, and everyone enjoyed her delicious food.
After retirement in 1988, she and her husband moved to Vancouver to be closer to their children. They travelled widely: Europe, Australia, Asia, and best of all, boarding a cruise ship with a group of friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Burnaby Hospital for their compassionate care.
