Božo Došen

January 27, 1936-June 21, 2024

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Božo Došen at the age of 88. He passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024 at Burnaby Hospital. He was born on January 27, 1936 in Alanak, Lika, Croatia.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and respected member of United Croats of Canada for over 60 years. Survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Vera; sons, Joso (Dijana), Bob (Krista); grandchildren, Julia, Nikolas, Luke, Jackson, and Andrew; brothers, Nikola (Croatia) and Mićo (Australia); brother-in-law Slavko (Zorica) and their families and many other extended family members and dear friends from Vancouver, Toronto and Croatia.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:30am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church at 3105 East 1st Avenue, Vancouver. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
