Brian George Alexander Cannon

Brian was born on February 19, 1939 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and passed away on March 18, 2021, aged 82. He is survived by his loving wife Donna, sons Ian (Irena) and Todd (Deana); grandchildren Steven, Andrew, Kyle and Reese. Brian was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Hilda Cannon.

After graduating high school, Brian began working at Robinson Electric and then eventually at BC Hydro retiring when he was 78. Brian enjoyed being with family, spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and keeping busy with projects. Brian had a tremendous work ethic and was always ready to assist others.

Brian was a very caring and compassionate man who always put the needs of others first. An active person, he played baseball in his youth, coached minor hockey for many years, ran several marathons and became an avid golfer. He loved life and people and always had a smile ready for all.

Brian was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of the Burnaby Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Burnaby Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be welcomed.
