Cameron Fung passed away peacefully in Burnaby, BC on October 9, 2021 surrounded by his family and friends. Cam was raised in Coquitlam, BC where he attended elementary and high school. He was later educated at UBC taking Forestry and Real Estate.
Throughout his schooling and youth he was mentored by his father on how to run a successful business and worked hard at the family business. This hard work ethic continued throughout his life. When his parents decided to retire, Cam started his own successful grocery business with the support of his parents for over 10 years and retired in 2006.
In 2008, Cam followed his dream and opened up a toy and hobby store named Go Go Hobbies in Coquitlam. He enjoyed tinkering with R/C cars and planes and was actively involved in the R/C community through education and sponsoring of hobbyists. To Cam, working became his passion and many of his customers became his friends. Cam loved to cook and try new recipes. He belonged to a paintball team, astrophotography club, and Xbox gaming group. He also enjoyed raising tropical fish, archery, hunting, fishing, off-roading, cheering on the Canucks, and most recently experimented in 3D printing and hydroponics growing healthy sprouts for his loved ones.
Cam enjoyed meeting new people from every facet of his life while maintaining old friendships from his childhood. Cam will be sorely missed by his family and many friends that he treated like family.
