Born in Italy, Carlo came to Canada in 1953 at the age of 13. He started working in restaurants and became a chef in major hotels. In 1981, he opened a very successful family fish and chip shop on Robson Street, Olympia Fish Market, where he spent 21 hard working and fun years meeting, socializing and ensuring that every customer left happy. After retirement, Carlo with Flora discovered the love of traveling, cruising and most of all motor homing.
When he was enjoying wine and food with his loved ones at the table, he was at his best. He left us with so much love, so many beautiful memories and will be missed by all.
The family thanks the cancer clinic, doctors Lim and Pavlovich and staff for their continued excellent care. Many thanks to the Fraser health doctors and staff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Heart and Stroke foundation.
Funeral Mass will be held on December 14, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Avenue Burnaby.
