Chris Jackson

Chris passed away peacefully on September 28, 2015, a few weeks before his 72nd birthday. He is predeceased by his parents, Chris and Isabel, and sister Helen. He will be missed by his loving wife Maureen; daughters Shari (Rob) and Wendy; grandsons Chase and Styles; sister Vera (Sam); nieces and nephews Micah (Karen), Lisa, Sam (Jessica); great-nieces Natasha, Ainsley, Marley, Sophia and Ava; his Auntie Gladys and the family in Alberta; and friends. As an accountant (CGA), Chris worked for MacMillan Bloedel for 28 years, but he also took pride in building and fixing things. Chris was an avid bowler, golfer and lawn bowler due to his competitive nature. Special thank you from the family to Dr. Appleby, Dr. Lam and nurses in the Burnaby Hospital Oncology Dept. His final days were peaceful with the compassionate care given by the nurses at St. Michael's Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held at Burnaby Mountain Golf Course on Saturday, October 17th from 12 to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Hospice to purchase equipment, BC Cancer Foundation for research or a charity of your choice.
