Chun Ju Li, also known as Nancy, resided in Burnaby, British Columbia, and passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Born on May 27, 1966 in Yuncheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, where her parents raised five children, she was the fourth in her lineage. In 1988, she graduated from the Central South University of Technology Department of Materials Science, with an undergraduate in metal physics. July 1988 to November 1998 in Zibo City, Shandong Province, she engaged in semiconductor materials testing work as an engineer at Jinjing electronic materials factory. She married in 1988, had her first daughter in 1992, and immigrated to Vancouver with her family in December 2000.
In Canada, she worked for 16 years (2007-2023) at Corcym Canada Corp (company formerly known as Sorin, LivaNova), a global medical device company specializing in the field of cardiac structures in Burnaby, which is a manufacturer of artificial heart valves. She was a conscientious worker and strived to do her best. She was not only a dedicated technician, but also an excellent trainer. She had a kind heart and made fast and good products that were trusted and well received. Her love was also reflected in the fact that she insisted on driving two elderly people to buy food and daily necessities every other weekend for several years, which deeply touched the two elderly people. In April 2023, she joined Karduim - a Canadian medical technology research and development company. In a short period of time, her work achievements were obvious to all, and recognized by leaders and colleagues.
Some years after immigrating, Nancy went to a truth deviation church and was baptized quickly. From 2007, she went to Willingdon Church, especially in Bethany Sisters' Fellowship, where she grew in life and was passionate about evangelism. 2016 Thanksgiving Day, she transferred to join Faith Chinese North American Baptist Church in Vancouver campus (FCNABC). She was very committed and faithful to serve, attending Vancouver short-term mission training, caring for new friends, committing to the church's evangelistic ministry prayer meetings, and caring for the brothers and sisters around her. She often accompanied some sisters to church and carpools to church. Her younger daughter has been attending church with her mother.
Towards the end of January 2024, Nancy started to feel sick, her lower limbs were edematous, and the doctor diagnosed her with advanced bile duct cancer, spread to the liver. During the period of her illness, brothers and sisters from Faith Chinese Baptist Church (FCNABC), Bethany Fellowship, and BSF took turns in bringing meals and praying every day. She experienced the love and comfort of brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, and she was open to her passing away. On Sunday, April 14, she rested peacefully at St. Michael's Hospice Care Home. Dear Nancy, we will see you again in heaven.
