

Chung Kwong Tse, of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at the age of 83. Chung Kwong was known was known for his fierce, independent spirit, resilience, and generosity.
Chung Kwong was born to Tse Yiu and Chu Wai Han on January 24, 1943, in Xinhui, Guangdong Province, China. He grew up in Hong Kong, and as the middle child of siblings, he took care of his family by preparing meals.
In early adulthood, Chung Kwong became a Fourth Engineer, and voyaged to many countries in Asia and Europe by ship.
In 1981, Chung Kwong immigrated to Vancouver, BC to explore new opportunities, such as working as a chef and studying English. He found joy in swimming, gardening, reading, walking, and travelling.
Chung Kwong was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Tse Chung Wai. He is survived by his four sisters: Tse Chui Yun, Tse Chui Ping, Tse Chui Wan, Tse Chui Wah, and their families who live in Vancouver and Hong Kong.
Chung Kwong will be remembered with love by his immediate and extended family, and close friends.
Chung Kwong’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Mount St. Joseph long-term care, the medical staff at Mount St. Joseph Hospital, and friends for their support and care.
