Chung Leung Loong was born in China on December 3, 1936. He was second among six siblings in the family. He settled in Hong Kong after the second world war. After graduating from high school, he worked briefly in the auto parts industry and thereafter devoted over thirty years in banking. In 1963, he married Kwok Chun Kung with whom he raised three daughters. After immigrating to Vancouver in 1988, Mr. Loong ran a printing business and later retired in 1995. His hobbies included reading, swimming, photography, playing mahjong and travelling. In late October 2016, Mr. Loong was hospitalized after a fall due to cancer. He had since accepted Christ. By God’s grace, he was subsequently admitted to the Richmond Rotary Hospice where he received good care and support. God called Mr. Loong home on December 10, 2016 at the age of 80.
