Mr. Darryl Arnold McRae

Born March 5th, 1948 in Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully at home at 1:08 am on Sunday, June 26th, 2016 from his battle with cancer. He was retired from Pacific Newspaper Group, where he made many lifelong friends. His favourite pastimes consisted of meeting his buddies for coffee, playing pool, his trips to Vegas, and as a loyal fan to the Montreal Canadiens, he greatly enjoyed playing hockey throughout his life. Darryl is survived by his wife Brenda, who was the love of his life for 44 wonderful years, his brother Pete (Sandra), his sisters Cheryl (Bob), Nancy (Chantal), and Susan, mother-in-law Mildred, brother-in-law Bob (Dianne), many nieces and nephews, and his cat Marvin. Darryl was predeceased by his brother Mark, father Arnold, and mother Shirley. Many thanks to Dr. Peter Black, Dr. Bernhard Eigl, Dr. Geoffrey Killick, and the Evergreen Community Services Home Support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vancouver Prostate Center c/o VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation. No service by request, as a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. We will miss him dearly; Darryl will be loved and never forgotten by all of his family and friends.
