Daryl, I still remember the first time you Brian C and I headed out to the Fraser, we had to hike through waist high water Brian and I both in wadders and you in your shorts with a 6 pack, well by then it was 5. Those were great times and we had many more great days on those rivers. I will never forget you. Rest in Peace buddy.

There are people who enter you life for a moment but their impact can last a lifetime, Daryl was one of these special people. He became a valued and respected member of our work family. He was a go to guy at work, everyone who worked with him, respected him, counted on him, wanted him on their shift, we knew if we called Daryl our mountain of work would become a molehill, he would plow through it effortlessly, smiling and joking the whole time, never complaining, his positive energy was infectious. He was a force in the warehouse, wearing out his co-workers (Tony last year at graveyard)who tried but failed to keep up with him no matter how hard they tried. I am glad I knew Daryl, even though it was brief, working with him left an impression on everyone that will always be remembered. He touched so many of his co-workers lives and his loss has left a deep wound both at work and in our personal lives. May, our hearts are with you and your family during this difficult time and I speak not only from my heart but also from the hearts of Daryl's co-workers.

We are less without you. More because of you. And heartened because you will always be a part of us. Thanks for being you.

I will always remember Daryl for his soft spoken manner and his engaging smile.
I came to know Daryl well over the years while working with him at the Casino. At work, Daryl was consistently efficient always fair, a great listener and very personable. He was well respected by all the staff he worked with, and they all loved to work for him.
I will fondly remember the fireworks barbeques, the long weekend at Whistler,the card nights and the football games. I will also remember the miracle comebacks that would take place every time Daryl uttered the words "It's a Lock".

Daryl,you were a very special      friend.We shared many childhood memories together.Growing up,all of us looked up to you,literally! Because you were taller than all of us.You always took care of us like a big brother and made us laughed with your silly humours.Thinking about it,always puts a smile  on my face.                                     You were taken away from us so suddenly,it is hard for me to understand.I can only imagine, there must be a higher calling for someone caring like you .

Some of the most fun I ever had in the casino was working with Darryl at the old Richmond site, he definetely made work more lively. The infrequent encounters since have always been memorable to me and Darryl you were one of a kind and I will miss you. I'm so sorry May .

Daryl, I forgive you for the "shoe incident".  I'm sure that you would be smiling in heaven whenever you thought about how bad you scared me(Linda)...

Some of the happiest experiences of my lifetime was fishiing with Daryl on the Vedder River.With him gone,the river now seems a little empty,less vibrant.Rest in Peace in Heaven buddy...Now go find a river...

I speak for all of the staff who worked with Daryl at the HIB when I say that he touched each of our lives in a positive way.  We miss you a lot Daryl and know that somewhere you are smiling down on us.
