David Edward Embury

David passed away after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Sheila (2005) & brother John Embury. He is remembered by: brothers Fred, Bob and Jim and their families; brother John's family; daughter Lynn, her husband Richard and children Christopher, Geoffrey & Madeline; & son Jim, his wife Jane, and children Joshua & Siobhan. Dave was a professional engineer and worked at Shell Canada in Calgary after coming East in the 1950's with a group of friends to find their fortune. Other interests were Long Beach on Vancouver Island, hiking, fishing, skiing & federal & provincial politics, which he shared with a large and diverse group of friends. Dave's family thank the palliative care unit on 7 west and the superb staff at the Lion's Gate Hospital. A funeral service will be held in North Vancouver on Friday June 7th at 2:00 PM at St. Agnes Anglican Church (530 12th St East, North Vancouver). A memorial service will be held in Calgary the week of June 17th at St James Anglican Church 6351 Ranchview Drive Northwest, Ranchlands. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
