Mr. David Arlan Readhead

Dave passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a courageous fight with brain cancer. Predeceased by his dad, Len Readhead and his nana and grandpa Albert and Lillian Vaughan. Dave is survived by his mom, Bev, his son and daughter, Jeff and Michelle Readhead, his friend and mother of his children, Pat McCafferty, three grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Kayla, Alethea and Emma; also survived by his siblings, Cheryl Parsons (John), Len Readhead (Margaret), Judy Antunes (Mario), Lisa Toby (Dave), eight nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces and nephews. Dave had many close friends at BC Housing where he worked for 20 years and most recently received the Eugene Treverton Award for outstanding performance and dedication. Dave will be remembered for his great sense of humour, his love of music, playing drums, his love of fast cars, and his cat Scooter who misses him very much. Our family would like to thank Dr. Eddy, nurses, Penny and Joan, and all of the wonderful people at the BC Cancer Clinic who went above and beyond in caring for Dave. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Cancer Society of BC. Viewing will be held at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, Wednesday, June 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at the North Burnaby Baptist Church, 3977 Albert Street, Burnaby, on Friday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m.
