It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Delores Lavina Seifert (Parlee) on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the age of 78. Delores was born in Edmonton, AB. on May 6, 1940. Delores is survived by her son Ted (Kim), daughter Michelle, grandchildren Brianne, Brett, Nicholas and Ryan, brother Rod (Mary-Lou) as well as many beloved nephews, nieces, family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joe and her parents George and Mona.
Delores (Artsy Gramma) was a very talented artist, making beautiful pictures come to life in oils, acrylics, water colours and pastels. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved sewing crafts for craft fairs. Delores also loved photography, having an innate talent for snapping a simple image and able to capture and highlight the detailed beauty in everything. She was also an avid sports fan and supported many local organizations with her volunteer work.
The family would like to extend a world of thanks to the employees of the B.C. Cancer Clinic, B.C. Ambulance, St. Elisabeth Palliative Home Care, and the all-star team's at the Burnaby Hospital Emergency and Palliative Care Units. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.
