I'm going to miss him. He was a great big bear of a man and he had a huge heart and laugh (Kwissss-Toe-Farrrr!).

My condolences to the Curley family. I had known Dennis for close to 35 years including working with him for close to 25 of them years at Rogers Sugar. Everytime I would see Dennis weather at work the lacrosse arena or running into him when he was walking his dog he always made me smile. I did not hear about his passing till today and it was like a time when you have to stop and think of all the wonderful times I had with such a special person that made me smile, laugh and brighten up my day. And when Dennis and another co-worker Sam Costa were together when they would come help me with part of my job I would be in tears of laughter for the full hour. And Answering of the radio at work 'Painter Curley Here' is still heard there by someone saying it as remembrance of a person we were all so lucky to have known. RIP Dennis you will never be forgotten

having spent a large number of sat. / sun. mornings hitting golf balls with Denis @ hastings golf Center, I will cherish the times spent together. I smile when I think of him and I hope you do too .

Dear Carole, Pat, Walter and family '¦ even though it's been thirty years since we hung around the ice rink and I instantly became great friends with all of you, the good times seem like only yesterday. No, we haven't kept in touch much in the past decade '¦ but I always knew that you were the kind of wonderful people who wouldn't mind me dropping by any time I wanted '¦ and it would be just like I was never away. Dennis was 'one of a kind' and his untimely passing is still so hard to imagine. Please know that my thoughts are with all of you in this very difficult time.

Dear Walter I was shocked and saddened to read that Dennis had passed away he was so young. Being so young when I met you and saw the closeness he felt with you and Lil I can only imagine the loss you are feeling. I was saddened to hear you lost your Lily. So many years have passed back to the fiftys he was the father of my first born dear Lisa and there is always a close connection which nothing can change that. I am thinking of you and feeling your pain and loss. I would love to see you again but understand if you don't want to see me. I only wish life had been different for all of us and will never forget how good you and Lil were to me when I first met you. You have my email and if you wish to contact me I would welcome it.

I was part of the youngs that hung around Jubilee in the late 50 and 60, we all liked hanging around the shoe repair store, they were great times, long befor Metro Town. sorry to hear of his passing, I will pass this sad news to the kids that hung with him.

When I think of Dennis, I remember his sense of humour, his kind heart '” I have many memories of happy times with Dennis ' at Kits and Third Beach when I was a teen-ager. I never did beat Dennis or his Father Walter at pool ' they were both pool-sharks! Dennis was a 'Prince Among Men' and never will be forgotten.

During the 50's and 60's my family lived overthe top of walt's shoe repair at Jubilee. My Dad (Jerry Macintosh) and Uncle Walter were good friends, my sister, brother(Chris & Gary) and I played with Dennis and Colleen in those early years.Our family offers our condolesnces to Dennis's wife, son,dad,sister and other member of the family.

 So sorry to hear about Dennis' passing. Dennis was such a real character and good friend. I remember back around '83, when he started as a painter at the Sugar refinery. We became instant friends and partners. I remember thats when the fun started. So many pranks and jokes, had some bosses shaking their heads, and others laughing out loud. That made the work days so pleasurable. I will always treasure those times and will miss him dearly.
 Even today, my two eldest children, Chelsea and Tyson (5 & 8 yrs old at the time), remember when he came to our home to hang wallpaper for us, and he started drawing cartoons of Dennis the Menace on the walls, to their laughter and joy. That was well over 20 years ago. That's the kind of impression he made.
 Carole, we were so happy that you and Dennis made it to my Retirement party and glad that he was able to see some of his friends from the Sugar refinery.
 So many fond memories I have of him. Dennis, I am so proud to have had you as a friend.
