Mr. Donato Antonio Iannantuoni

Passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver on January 14, 2012. Born in San Marco La Catola, Italy on June 25, 1927, Donato married Rosa in 1954 and together they lovingly raised their four children. After spending several years in Milan, the family immigrated to Canada in 1967 and settled in Vancouver. Donato was a dedicated family man who cherished time spent with his wife, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Maria, sisters Teresa and Maria, mother-in-law Antonietta and father-in-law Vincenzo. Donato will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 58 years, Rosa, his children Giovanni (Teresa), Maria Punzo (John), Vincenzo, Antonella Alves (Roger); his grandchildren: Filomena (Dave), Rosanna (Chris), Diana, Daniel V., Daniel A., Michael, Emily, Melissa, Hailey and his great-grandchildren Kalia and Mikayla. He is also survived by his two brothers Fausto (Antonietta), Giuseppe (Lina) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dialysis Unit at St. Paul's Hospital for their years of care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 480 East 47th Avenue, Vancouver, BC on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10:00 am with entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
