Egidio Trasolini

TRASOLINI, Egidio it is with deep regret and profound sadness to announce that on Oct. 11, 2023, Egidio Trasolini was called to his place in heaven. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a Nonno to many cherished grandchildren. Born in Torrice, Frosinone, Italy on September 3, 1930, he was predeceased by his father Gerardo, and his mother Anna. He leaves his loving wife of 66 years Iolanda, his children Edoardo (Dorice), Susanna (David), Franco (Donna), and Paolo (Christine), his grandchildren, Marina, Diana, Robert, Luca, Francesca, Marc, Christina, Andrew, Sarina, Tianna, Alessandro, Matteo, his great-grandchildren, Maia, Sofia, Leo, Audrey, Gia, Isla, Bennett, Sienna, Jackson, Anthony and his siblings, brother Orlando deceased (Antia deceased), brother Giovanni deceased (Lucia), sister Mafalda (Nino deceased), sister Elvira (Giovanni); and Numerous nephews and nieces. He always had words of wisdom for everyone and was a great inspiration to everyone he spoke to. His family was his life, and he was the true embodiment for Christian values. Egidio was an avid fisherman, winemaker, and vegetable gardener. He loved to enjoy his time in Point Roberts, Italy and Mexico at his many homes. If he wasn't holidaying, he was always looking for a good deal or developing a project. He will be dearly missed but never ever forgotten. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 20th at 10:30am at Holy Name of Jesus Church on 33rd and Cambie in Vancouver. Entombment to be at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, Abbey Mausoleum (2nd floor). In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
