It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emira on January 13, 2012 at the age of 60 years. She is predeceased by her father Pietro, mother Catarina and brother Gino. Emira is survived by her loving family, husband Lucio 'Pat' Longo, children Rene (Fernanda), Dario (Jody), and Nico; grandchildren Madisen, Aleksa, and Ante; mother-in-law Anna; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thank-you to the palliative care team at V.G.H. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 555 S. Slocan St. Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.H.I.L.D. Foundation or the BC Cancer Foundation.
