It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Eric John Thorleifson. Eric was born on May 17, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024 at Burnaby Hospital surrounded by his loving wife, his family and close friends at his side. Eric is survived by his girls, loving wife Patricia, daughters Erica (Anthony), Rosalinda, and Crystal, granddaughter Ariana, grandson Sebastian, his sister Signi and many other family and friends. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Monday November 4, 2024 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC. Cremation to follow, a private inurnment of Eric’s ashes will be held at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eric’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
