Errol Duncan was born in St. Mary, Jamaica to Lilla and Leopold Duncan on November 08, 1948. He migrated to the United States of America and settled in Canada shortly after, in 1966. He started a successful automotive repair company in Canada before “retiring” to Jamaica over 50 years later. He then started Alcovia Development Company- which was named after his three daughters Alanjdra, Courtni, and Olivia. He loved real estate development. Starting with his home, C-Shells Villa, then developed Visions Condominiums, and then developed and continued to passionately and lovingly manage Tranquility Cove Apartments. He was a strong and dedicated advocate for environmental care and for the establishment and maintenance of green spaces like the central public park- Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. He loved creating and being in beautiful spaces, surrounded by many trees, plants and flowers. Errol was involved in the BC Cancer Society, the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and the Jamaica Tourist Board- Meet the People Program.
Errol Duncan is survived by his 3 children and 5 siblings – Viven (Sister Merks), Muffeth, Michael, Jeniffer (Jen) and Aileen (Angie), Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. He is preceded in death by his Mom, Dad, and son Donavon Duncan from his first marriage.
Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to all his cherished loved ones, friends and well-wishers who help us honour and celebrate the life of our Beloved, Errol Duncan and many thanks to the Ocean View Funeral Home for the dignity with which they treated our loved one.
