How many got to hear your beautiful singing voice?  You are my brother. Since 1980 at ms.browns hotel. I always wondered why I couldn't find you. My dream was so real. I know you are smiling cause you always smiled. Always shine mr. Hines...always JAHMAKYA.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Errol's passing.
I worked with Errol at Silver City in Coquitlam.
He was always cool, always courteous-a gentleman.

My deepest condolences go out to the Hines family. I will miss Errol's happiness, warmth, positivity and the genuine love that he showed for everyone he came into contact with.  He was a great, great man and touched everyone with his kindness and his warm smile.  There is no one like dear, sweet Errol, and we are all better people for knowing him. He will be greatly missed.

Hey Brother, I know you can read this. I can't help how deeply I regret not being in town last year, or the fact that I didn't call you to say hi. But I can, and will always, remember our conversations and the perspective you bestowed upon me during our days at SLV.  You are a bright light my friend. I worked with Errol at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.  It was then Canadian Pacific Hotel Vancouver, and I vividly remember his stylish and cheerful manner every time I saw him.  I often teased him, "Wow, your wife has a great taste on your tie and jacket!"  He always relied, "No, I bought this and this is MY taste!".  May God cherish his soul in heaven and comfort his family during this time of trial.

I hope that Errol's family knows how much joy he brought to those of us who have been going for some years to SilverCity for The Met on Saturday mornings. His beautiful smile and cheerful greeting just "set up" the day for us. He will be missed by so many who were hoping against hope that he would come back one day.

Errol didn't have to go out of his way to make friends. It would just happen. Anyone in his vicinity would get pulled in by his kindness and joy. In the 7 years we shared a workplace, no one else made as much of an impression as he did on his co-workers and the customers. People these days tend to walk around with a perpetual frown and shy away from contact with strangers, but Errol always had a smile and a friendly greeting. We should all take a lesson from our friend Errol and share his enthusiasm for life with all those around us, even during sad times like these. He will be dearly missed, and we shall keep him and his family in our prayers.

Errol was such a kind soul.  I worked with him for many years at The Hotel Vancouver, saw him on the Westcoast Express during my commute, and continued to keep in contact through my friends at The Shangri-la Hotel.  I have never seen anyone handle this disease with more grace, or a positive attitude.  If it could have been cured through sheer force of will, he would still be here with us.   I will dearly miss his cheery greeting and will hold his memory dear.

Errol was always able to make me smile with his casual and calming attitude towards anything.. a true Jamaican. I cannot begin to express my sincere condolences for the family's loss.  Errol was one of the most wonderful man that I have ever met.  I am so fortunate to have met and known such a great guy.

My sincerest sympathy on your loss.  I met Errol on the WestCoast Express when he was working at the Vancouver Hotel and we stayed in touch, on and off, during the years.
