Mrs. Evelyn Rose Bahry

With heavy hearts we announce that Evelyn Rose Bahry, 92, passed away on July 31st in Burnaby General Hospital. Mom was born in Southey, Saskatchewan, the youngest in a family of 6 children. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William in 2002. She is survived by her son Brian (Barb), sister-in-law Rena, very special niece Bonna (Don) and many other loving family and friends.

Mom graduated as an RN from Winnipeg General in 1944 and moved to Vancouver to begin a career in nursing that she often described as “a profession I so enjoyed”. Mom and dad relished the opportunity to travel and always managed to balance dad’s thirst for taking in a sporting event with mom’s desire to explore the history.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the care givers at Seton Villa where mom spent the last 9 years with a very special thanks to Lolita for her special kindness and warm hearted care.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses on 4 West B at Burnaby General for helping us when we needed it most - you are a superb team.

At mom's request there will be a small immediate family graveside service. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
