Filomena Parente

We announce the passing of our cherished and beloved mother. Filomena was born in Morcone, Foggia, Italy and passed away at Burnaby Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Giuseppe in 1975. Our adored mother will be missed by her children Nicola (Maria), Bert (Sandra), Maria (Bob) and Giovanni (Julie), grandchildren Giuseppe (Sabrina), Julia, Julian, Elio (Stephanie), Jordan (Kate), Camille, Nicola, Sean and Chloe, great-grandchildren Nicola, Carmela and Crighton. She also leaves behind sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and their families here and other family in Italy. She was very loving and held true love and dedication for all she cared for in her heart. Her Lord, family, garden and memories of her homeland gave her enjoyment. We know God will comfort and surround her with his tender love. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11th at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver, B.C. where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12th.
