MONTALBANO – Francesca passed away Saturday January 28, 2012, just two days past her 77th birthday, with her children by her side. Predeceased by her husband Salvatore in 2003, she leaves behind her beloved family; daughter Susanna (Bernard), son John (Dana), grandchildren Alannah, Michael, Luke and Marco; also brother Giuseppe and sister Sarina of Calatafimi, Italy. Francesca came to Canada via Pier 21 Halifax in 1960. She loved her life in Vancouver. Francesca will be remembered for her kind heart, empathy, independence and her ability to connect with all people of all cultures. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 4 at Corpus Christi Parish 6350 Nanaimo St., Vancouver, at 11:30 am. Private family entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers donations to VGH Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
