Francesco Pettinato

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Francesco Pettinato, who left us peacefully in the presence of his loving family on May 23, 2025.

Born on March 23, 1941 in Lago Calabria Italy, Frank immigrated to Vancouver, Canada to start a new life. Through his hard work and traditional values, he realized his dream of owning a home and having a loyal family – both immediate and extended.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Vannina and his son Paolo (Diane). He was a very proud Nonno of Nicolas and Marcus, each of whom were his proud and joy. They lit up his life and found his softest side. Frank is also survived by his sisters, Mafalda and Teresa and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Visitation for Frank will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 12:00pm at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby, BC.

Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum.
