Gabriel Peter Rosati

March 27, 1954 – October 31, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gabe Rosati, a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was born in Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy on March 27th, 1954 and passed away on October 31st, 2020, in a place that he loved, Dominic Lake, near his beloved cabin. He is survived by the love of his life, Florinda, with whom he spent 48 happy years. Their love was a special kind of love, one that many would wish for in their lifetime. He will forever be remembered by his children Peter (Krista), Olivia (Nick), Paolo (Heidi), and his grandchildren Joel, Chanel, Eva, Skyah, Romeo, and Saveigah. He is fondly remembered by his siblings Elvira (Angelo) and Mary (Tony), sister-in-law Teresa (Alfonso), brother-in-law Fil (Shelley), cousin Peter, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Gabe was a generous, strong-willed, smart, and kind man. He was witty and fun, and this drew many people to him. He took pride in all of his accomplishments and was grateful for the many blessings in his life. He had a deep love of hunting, fishing, watching sports and movies, reading novels, fashion, and gardening with his wife. He enjoyed spending time at his summer home, fixing up his cabin with the crew, cruising in his Alfa Romeo, or just driving at high speeds. He loved vacationing with family and friends all over the world. Gabe was devoted to his family and was always there for guidance and support. He doted on his 6 grandchildren from watching them play sports, driving and picking them up from their sporting events, hosting countless sleepovers, babysitting, or taking them to Canucks games. He was very hardworking. He dedicated over 40 years of his life to a career in the electrical field in which he gained tremendous respect from those in the profession who knew him. Gabe will be greatly missed, and his family will hold him in their hearts always and forever. The Rosati family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Steve Warner, Kevin Myers, and Peter Briglio for being there for our beloved Gabe. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
