Gail was born into a family of 6 siblings - Yvonne, Jim, Maureen, Barbara, Ken and Terry.
She met her husband Guido Fiorda and married on July 5th, 1969. They built a life and family together with their 3 daughters Maria (Fiorda, previously Reynolds) , Gina (Ayrton) and Liana (Fiorda, previously Kirby), and her 6 grandchildren Sara and Matthew Reynolds, Guytano and Matteo Ayrton, and Adam and Ashley Kirby . She welcomed her son in laws Tim Reynolds, Glenn Ayrton, and Jason Kirby, and accepted with open arms her 2 new family additions Richard Champagne and Darryl McColl.
Gail spent her life in service to others with her work and her family.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was always there for everyone. Our Rock. The one we depended on to get us through all the good and bad that life threw our way. She devoted her life to her husband and her daughters. She took great joy in helping to raise her 6 grandchildren and was so very proud of each of them. She made each of us feel supported always with her unconditional love, strength of spirit, and unending generosity.
Gail was a wonderful cook, and we fondly remember the many meals that brought us all together.
Her artistic side was expressed with her sewing and crafts projects that kept her busy for hours. Halloween costumes , Christmas ornaments, home decorations and even clothes for Barbie.
She was also an avid reader. She loved to immerse herself in a good story- wonderful or sad- they were all a great adventure.
She loved going for long walks in nature which she used as an excuse to chat and work out all of the problems of the world.
She would sneak a few dollars from the grocery money every month to buy a package for the food bank- that was her secret- (don’t tell your dad)
She had a wicked sense of humour - right until the very end.
While our hearts mourn the loss of our beloved Gail, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering.
She is off enjoying her own next great adventure.
