Gerry Ball (age 84) passed away peacefully on Monday October 13, 2025 at Eagle Ridge Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1940 in Vancouver BC to William and Lillie Ball. Gerry retired from CP Rail after 37 years of fulfilling one of his dreams to work with trains. Gerry also loved to talk to friends all over the world on his amateur radio and was an active member of the Maple Ridge Amateur Radio club for over 50 years (VE7IIR).
Gerry is survived by his sister Roberta Carter and his daughters Leslie (Dennis), Karen, Sheri (Ted). He is also survived by his grandchildren Shannon, Kyle (Cassie), Cassandra, Ryan, and his greatgrandchildren Jaden, Riley Keagan and Liam along with his feathered grand-birds Gus and Zazu.
Friends, family and those touched by him over the years are invited to his celebration of life to be held at Oceanview Funeral Home on November 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM with reception to follow.
