Giambattista Peta

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father Battista Peta on January 8, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Battista was born in Caraffa, Province di Catanzaro in Calabria, Italy on December 26, 1932. Battista was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Angelina: his brother Agostino and his sister Caterina. He leaves behind his, son Franco (Anita), daughter Adelaida (Felice), and son Maurizio (David). Battista will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Chanel, Nikolai, Christian, Mateo, Aria and his great grandchildren Kaine and Rylee. He is survived by his siblings Teresina, Giuseppina and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Italy and Vancouver. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 7:00 pm at St. Helen's Parish, 3860 Triumph St, Burnaby, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby. Forever in our hearts. Love you so much dad and nonno.
