A fine gentleman. A kind friend. It's been my great pleasure knowing Mr. Kam. His view on life, his way of treating people and especially his love for his family have given me great examples of how to become a better person. Mr. Kam will always be remembered fondly.

To My Amazing Grandpa,

When I have dinners at your house I remember that I was always last to finish. Too bad I am still slow. You would still let me go biking in your backyard since you are so thoughtful and generous. How grateful I am to be able to spend so many years by your side. I remember when I was little, you would play music in the living room and film me "shake my bum". Now Mavis always asks, "Where is Ye Ye? What's he doing? ...."  She is too small to understand Life, but she surely knows that you are in a very very special place deep rooted in her heart nourishing her growth each day.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I will forever be grateful and indebted by your unconditional acceptance and for letting me marry your cherished daughter, my beloved wife. I love your witty humour and your casual and gentle spirit but also am deeply impressed by your authoritative and commanding presence. At first when I met you, I was fearful of you like a little boy but then after, how I love to be able to laugh with you and sit with you quietly but reassuredly. I will miss these moments always.

Mr. Gilbert Kam is a good friend, a generous philanthropist, a kind teacher of life lessons, and most of all, a great human being.  I will always miss him.  I know he will be in good hands going to God's heaven.

I remember every Friday we went over to your house and ate dinner and had fun. I remember going out in your back door and racing with our bikes. I remember watching movies on your theatre screen. We would refuse to leave your house because we had so much fun with you. You have been a huge influence on my life and I will always value and cherish your advice. There is not one time that I did not have fun when and enjoyed myself when I was near you.  You will never be forgotten and the legacy you left behind is indescribable. We all love you and you will always be in my thoughts.

Deepest condolences to the Kam Family for this loss. Both me and my father remember Mr. Kam quite well from Convocation in 1993. I also remember the generous and friendly hospitality on my visits to Vancouver.
Your legacy lives on in your family and your memory will be forever cherished.
