

Johnny was the third of eight children. Maria Angela, Domenico, Suor Lidia (deceased), Suor Domenica, Bertilla (deceased), Camillo (deceased) and Rita and many other nieces and nephews in Italy. As a 19 year old young man he left Italy in 1957 looking for a better life for himself. He arrived in North America on the Olympia Ocean Liner and traveled across the country by train to settle in Vancouver. He began work as a carpenter and ultimately became a truck driver in the lumber and drywall industry. Johnny met Olga (deceased 2006) and they were married in 1960. Johnny and Olga were blessed with four children - Roger, (Catherine), Paolo, Rita (Gary) and Johncarlo (Angela); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Johnny lived in the same home for 57 years, was an avid gardener and was passionate about his gardens and fruit trees. He enjoyed making homemade wine, loved family dinners in his home and was a devoted Seria A soccer fan. He was a loving Father and Grandfather and will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
