Giuseppe Padovano

At the age of 93, Giuseppe (Joe) Padovano passed away. Giuseppe was born in 1930 to Maria Cardona and Rocco Padovano in Taurinova, Reggio Calabria, Italy. Giuseppe experienced heartbreak with the loss of his son, Rocco in 2013. He is survived by: his loving wife of 62 years, Concetta; his son Giuseppe (Pino), his wife, Angelina Di Fonzo and their son, Marcus; his daughter Maria Pesa, her husband, John and their children Alexandra and Sebastian. He is also survived by his grandson, Ryan Macmillan.

Giuseppe was predeceased by other loved ones: parents, Rocco and Maria; parents-in-law, Giuseppe and Teresa Gallo; siblings: Luigi (Concetta), Salvatore (Elvira), Giulia Avignone (Bruno), Carmelo (Rina), Attilio, Carmela Moretto (Vittorio) and Antonio; siblings in law: Antonio & Franca Gallo, Carmela & Carmen Sorace, Teresa & Pietro Anania, Alfonso Gallo, Carlo Gallo, Pietro Gallo, Vittorio Mauro.

He is survived by siblings in law: Maria Napoletano (Luigi), Pina Mauro, Vittoria Colevecchio (Ferdinando), Loretta Gallo, and Linda Gallo along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Bell Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, British Columbia on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A life of hard work and love of family will be celebrated at St. Helen’s Parish, 3060 Triumph Street, Burnaby, British Columbia on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, British Columbia following the service.
