Giuseppina Mastromonaco

July 22, 1934 - September 28, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, nonna and great-nonna Giuseppina Mastromonaco.

She will be deeply missed by her children Sergio (Rebecca) and Maria Fernanda (Frank); grandchildren, Megan, Marcelo (Spencer), Monica (Billy), Andrew (Chelsea), and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Billy Junior, Maverick and Vicky; brother Giovannino Giambattista. Giuseppina is predeceased by her husband Domenico Mastromonaco.

Born with golden hands and an endless spirit of devotion to her family, Giuseppina filled her life and the lives of those around her with beauty, care, and love. She had a gift for creating—whether it was sewing, knitting, baking, cooking, making fresh pasta, or tending her beautiful garden. There was no task too small or too great for her hands, which were always busy creating, nurturing, and giving.

Her greatest joy and purpose in life was her family. She loved them fiercely and fully, and that love was returned to her many times over. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom she was blessed to see grow and thrive.

Giuseppina never stopped moving, never stopped giving. Each day was filled with purpose—working in her garden, preparing meals, or making something with her hands—all expressions of her deep, unwavering love.

She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, resilience, and the quiet, enduring strength of a life lived in service to her family. Her spirit will live on in every recipe shared, every stitch of fabric, every bloom in the garden, and every hug among her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitations for family and friends will be held at Bell Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial for Giuseppina will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, at Our Lady Of Sorrows parish at 11:00 am, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, at the Abbey, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Giuseppina’s memory can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or any charity of your choice.
