On December 31, Gordon Harvey Vernon passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Alice in 2008, he is survived by his daughters, Marjorie Vernon of South Surrey, Jean Shave and husband Dennis, and granddaughters Alyson and Kelsey of Vancouver, as well as a brother, sister, sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private Graveside service for the family. A gathering to remember Gordon will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Langley Gospel Hall (4775 221st Street, Langley, B.C.). No flowers by request. “Absent from the body and present with his Lord.”
