

Grace Halcrow Ann McCallum (Anderson), fondly called the "Purse Lady" was born on June 6, 1926 in Vancouver. On August 8th, 2015 Grace peacefully passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Survived by Don her devoted husband of 67 years, their two children Susan (George), Brent (Trish), their grandchildren Sho Sho, Chelsea (Chad), Vince, Trevor, Elis, and of course her loving Yorkshire Terrier, Hal.
Grace was a lifelong resident of South Burnaby having attended Nelson Avenue School, and graduating from Burnaby South Secondary in 1944.
"Amazing Grace" was the first dental assistant in White Rock. Grace dedicated 20 years of service to Elders in our community through Meals on Wheels.
Grace and her husband Don enjoyed dancing, dining, their cabin at Point Roberts, and spending time with their family and friends. For years Grace loved her daily drive with her husband Don.. Later in life her granddaughter, Sho would regularly take her throughout the lower mainland purse shopping to add to her collection, always ending with a mocha on the Fraser River.
A celebration of life will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby V5J 1A4 on August 14th at 1:30pm. Everyone Welcome!
