Ms. Grace Kwok Hong Lam

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Grace Kwok Hong Lam, a beloved sister, aunt and friend. She went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Grace was predeceased by her elder brothers Kwok Sui and Kwok Kwan. She is survived by brothers Kenneth Kwok Cheung and William Kwok Wai (Flora), nephews and nieces Sam, Anne, Gloria, Monica, Noel, Chris, Kami & Emily.

Grace was born in Hong Kong on August 22, 1939 and moved to the US to study at Eastern Texas Baptist University. She obtained her masters degree at Baylor University and upon completing her studies, worked at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s hospital. She then moved across the country to California working at many departments within UC San Francisco, and finished her scientific career at a biotechnology company before taking an early retirement.

Known to be caring, kind and generous, Grace was actively involved in her church, teaching Sunday school, as well as blessing many charitable organizations. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, leaving behind several works of art that are treasured by family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, with the locations she visited acting as inspiration for some of her paintings. She also enjoyed indoor gardening, with particular interest in growing orchids, of which she always had some in her apartment. She was an enthusiastic and astute investor, known for getting up early to execute trades and research the markets. Her knowledge of nutrition was years ahead of her time and she expressed her care for her family by generously gifting nutritious food. Her gentleness and caring heart will be greatly missed.

A viewing will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, 7-9 pm, and the funeral service for Grace Lam will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby B.C., Canada.
