Grace Sproul, who dedicated over 25 years (1986-2012) of her career to the Delta School District, passed away on June 4, 2023 - just four weeks after being diagnosed with a rare and rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disorder.
Grace was known for her deep love and compassion for children and a belief in every every child's inherent potential and place in the world. She was a consummate optimist, a passionate and driven leader, and a fun-loving and creative spirit at heart - she never shied away from creating moments of wonder and joy for the children she taught.
She will be remembered as a leader, a mentor and friend by her colleagues and the families of the many schools she was a part of - Annieville ('86-90), Chalmers ('90-91), Heath ('92-98), Cougar Canyon ('98-03), Jarvis ('92-98, '05-08), and Port Guichon ('08-12), where she concluded her career as Principal.
Grace lived her life with an unparalleled enthusiasm, and in her finals weeks, was surrounded by love, light and the knowledge of how much she meant to so many. Message can be sent to her family at [email protected].
