Mrs. Gwenyth Shirley Marie Bird

Gwen passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Loving Saviour on the morning of February 6th, 2022 at the age of 78. Welcoming her also into the kingdom of eternal life is her beloved husband Ron, parents Alice and Edward Arthur, sister Jean, brother Gerry, and as well, extended family and friends she has dearly missed.

Gwen leaves behind her only son, Brian (Sandra) and two grandchildren; Brendan and Alexandra, numerous nieces, nephews, extended loving family and friends.

The funeral is to be held on Friday, March 4th at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Vancouver. Family viewing at 9 am followed by the Rosary at 9:30 am, and Mass at 10 am. Interment at Forest Lawn cemetery on March 19th.

A tremendous vote of thanks to the staff at The B.C. Cancer agency, Fraser Health Home Support, Burnaby General Hospital, to our family doctor; Dr. Appelby. The kindness, care, compassion, and medical attention you have all demonstrated is commendable and will never be forgotten.

To the armies of Angels and Saints who have prayed fervently for us. I can't thank you enough.
