Gysberdina "Dini" Maria Vanderhout

Dini, aged 82, passed away on May 7th, 2014 in Burnaby, BC. Dini is predeceased by her husband Henk and her grandson TJ. She is survived by her four children, Frans, Mary (Ted), Anita, and Robert (Shari); grandchildren, Kyla (Jeff), Candice, Taryn (Scott), Tina and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Brittany, Nicholaas, Kalee-Shaye, Nilah, Tavian, Markus, Nathaniel, Chiasson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born the eldest of 12 children in Utrecht, Holland, and was cared for in the last years of her life by her loving sister Trees and brother-in-law John. She was a woman whom family always came first, and was loved by all who met her. She had many friends, and an open door policy that was used by many. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched, for everyone who met her was touched in some way. Many thanks to the staff at New Vista Society for the care that she received while there. Dini's life will be celebrated with much love and laughter on Friday, May 16th starting at 1:30pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby BC.
