My Dad had many names during his time on Earth.
Harold, Ernest, Son, Cousin, Farmer, Great Student, Top Athlete,  Husband, Brother-in-law,  Son-in-law,  Father,  Grandfather,  Papa Cheesy, Uncle, Puss( only my Mom could call him that), Volunteer,  Catt, Neighbour.
I feel really lucky to have called him Best Friend.

Dad was such a great guy, always upbeat, always positive,  supportive and interested in helping and learning from others.

He provided so much for me and his family .
He was a great role model and I will try to carry on in his footsteps. 

"Dad, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever. "

I will always remember when I went out to Vancouver when I was 13 years old. Spending time with Nana and Papa, going swimming in the ocean, visiting the mountains and going blueberry picking. These are memories I will cherish forever. Love and miss you Papa , Cooper

Grandpa Cheezee with Myles and Thea Prochotsky

Harold was my great friend. He had such wonderful humour, respected me always and was very kind to my children and grandchildren. My grandchildren still talk about “Grandpa Cheezee “. During our travels he was curious about food, culture and the lives of the locals. He could carry on engaging conversations with anyone and his interest was appreciated by all. He was resilient. In the 12 years we were friends, he cared very much about his family and tried hard to keep in touch with his friends and relatives. He loved my dogs and they loved him back. He will not be forgotten.

Dear Uncle Harold, 

Thank you for all those dinners out we had whenever I was in town on business. You and Aunt Suzie always made me feel loved and welcome.

Harold was like a brother to me. I've known him since I was 6, when he started dating my sister. Harold and Suzie's home had a revolving door. They invited countless people to stay with them, including me, and encouraged them to stay as long as they wished/needed. Harold was an amazing host who loved to laugh. I can still hear it. Gardening was one of his many interests/talents and his gardens were breathtaking. 
My condolences to friends and family.
He will be missed.

We're so sorry to hear about Harold from Aaron.  He was always cheerful, witty and personable.  I met Harold at Nalley's and we have been friends since 1989, we met regularly over lunch with fond memories after our retirement.  I still remember the day when we travelled to Chicago where he ordered and finished a 5 lb lobster!  He was so happy and he brought up this subject over and over whenever we ate seafood ever since.  Harold, you will be missed forever, I lost a dear lunch buddy where we can share ideas with no boundaries, may you rest in peace.  Allena and I like to express our deepest condolences to Graham, Adam and Aaron and their respective families.

Sometimes yesterday was a long time ago.

He was the little drummer boy. 
His parents Willow and Audrey loved him dearly.

They were perfect for each other. He adored her. He was her best friend.

Boy we sure started to look alike and have similar personalities. 
The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

A  young Father who always led  by example A testament to hard work and sacrifice.

So sorry to hear about Harold from Aaron and Adam! He was an unforgettable guy always with a smile on his face, and  he Suzy were great neighbours of ours  and their kids were friends with ours growing up together!! He also worked with my husband Darrell at Rothman ‘s in the 1960’s to 80’s!! I’d  like  to express my condolences to Graham, Adam and Aaron and families. I’m sure their dad will be sadly missed by all who knew him! A great guy and may he rest in peace! Thinking of you all Fiona Stackhouse, Ian, and Lisa and families

My dearest Papa Cheezie.

Words won’t be able to explain how much I love my Grandfather. A beautiful life with so many loved ones who’s hearts he will live through, his stories told and his memories cherished. For 34 years he was the one I knew held the highest title in my life, Papa was always so wise and would never beat around the bush; he told it as it was, and then ended whatever conversation with the biggest hug or the most meaningful “I love you, sweetheart.” He met his great-grandsons and they will never forget him, their love for him will always grow. Getting to see him in the fall was a time I’ll never forget, ever. Just like the time when I was 2 and he sneezed and made me cry, he was so loud when he sneezed! He created a beautiful life for his family, and we will always be so thankful and grateful for everything he did for us all. I will always hear the echo of “SUSANNNN!” In my mind and I will always remember how he never forgot a single birthday or Christmas, not once. He was an AMAZING Grandfather, and as his only granddaughter, I will continue to miss him tremendously, but simultaneously thanking God that I got to spend so much time with him. 
I love you my Papa, sleep sweet.
