JANTUNEN, Helen Elsie (Ranta) December 1, 1930 ' December 30, 2010 Helen was born in Lake Cowichan, Vancouver Island and passed away peacefully at the Finnish Canadian Rest Home with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle against cancer rarely complaining of her condition. She worked 31 years for the Department of Indian Affairs in Vancouver. Predeceased by husband Paul. Survived by son Roy (Alyson), granddaughter Kirsten and niece Eeva (Ollie), pals Aura and Ellen as well as many many more friends. She will especially be missed by her many four legged friends. The family wishes to thank Marla for all her help during the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Cancer Society or charity of choice. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00pm at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 6344 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, BC.
