Helen, my long time dear friend. I miss you so much. I have your Christmas card/picture of yourself that you took in Disneyland sitting in my living room. I think about you often and smile when I reminisce of all the good times we had together working out at the gym and our lunches & dinners we had together. I will never forget the B.C. Lions game we went to. We sure had a lot of laughs, didn't we? I pray every night that your soul is resting in peace. Irene & I are still going to continue to go out for dinner in honour of your birthday every year. Her and I enjoy talking about you and what a wonderful person you were and how much we miss you. Rest in peace my dear friend. Missing you, Yvonne

My name is Lillian Lum, and I came to know Helen in early 2012. I had seen her around at the mall (2011) and everytime our eyes connected, we would smile at each other. I could tell she was a lively individual. We started to chat every once in a while, in passing. What a beautiful soul to be sharing all her positive energy and glowing smile. I did not know Helen was battling cancer until summer. I last saw her when I was with my children, November/December. I only found out yesterday that Helen had passed. Please accept my condolences, family and friends. Helen was a treasure. May God strengthen you and help you in this time of sorrow.

I will miss you forever Thank You for being my best friend.

Helen
You are a woman who took on your disease with the same dignity and sense of humor you used for everything. Through the entire battle, you never lost who you were or the qualities everyone loved you for. Your family and friends were always your first priority and this disease only strenghened those bonds. You always faced each day with the delicate balance of living life to the fullest in case your days were limited and yet planning and doing things that made it seem to the rest of us that your life would go on for years. You kept your difficult days to yourself and still always shared the best of yourself with all of us. You will be missed. You brought a little bit of Hawaiian sunshine into all our lives.

It was always so nice to have a chat with you at work and take a mental holiday from all the stress while we talked about Hawaii and chatted about what was happening day to day. I will always remember your little piece of the islands you kept at work (build a bear island complete with a palm tree) =). I have missed your humour, smile & laugh since seeing you last. Rest in peace Helen. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Helen, you were one of first people to take me under your wing when I started my new job five years ago. I will always remember you for your infectious smile. For those who read this message, I encourage you to listen to "Over the Rainbow" as sung by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole. I happened to hear it this weekend and it brought tears to my eyes, as the song reminded me of all that is beautiful about Helen and Hawaii.

To Helen's family, my heart goes out to you after this long battle. The only good news is that she is with George again and we all know whenever she spoke of him she lit up. As a customer she was always smiling and kind and made me glad I had spent time with her. God speed Helen.

I met Helen a number of years ago when I managed the gym she attended. She had such a passion for life and was always so encouraging and helpful as I took on a new role with new challenges. She told such wonderful stories of Hawaii and insisted I go one day and told me all the "hot spots" that a young girl should go to. Rest in peace Helen, I will definitely think of you when I make it to Hawaii in April.

Dear Lim Family:I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. I first met Helen when we were both on the track and field team at Killarney. We spent many hours in the weight room and out on the field throwing the shot puts and discus. Helen was such a wonderful person to hang out with. Even though the last time I saw Helen was at Jenny's wedding, I still remember the good times we shared many years ago.
Please take care of yourselves and know my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
