It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Hinfun Loo on September 19, 2013 after a long, lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at Eagle Ridge Hospital in the care of his beloved wife, Agnes.
Henry is predeceased by his devoted first wife, Laura, sister Pauline, son-in-law Eugene, and granddaughter, Bing. He is survived by his brother Dan (Helen), and sister Jane (George). He will be lovingly missed by his children Janis, Bonita (Tony), Simon (Grace) and grandchildren Maureen (Jim), Kelvin (Sherry), Isabella and Joshua. He is also sadly missed by his extended family and many friends.
Henry will be remembered by many for his 31 years service to Canadian Pacific Airlines and Canadian International Airlines. During his time with the company, he specialized in teaching the Inertial Navigation System. As a result, well, over 3000 pilots came under his tutelage. After his retirement, as a private contractor, he continued to spread his expertise around the world in diverse places such as Africa, Israel, New Zealand and much of Europe. His career suited his love of travel. In addition, he will also be remembered for his great love of music.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, B.C. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 1 pm, followed by a cremation service at 2:30pm. A private family viewing will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6-8pm.
