Born in Munich Germany, arrived in Canada 1954. Herb was married to his beloved Erika 57 years. He worked in a gold mine, was a finished carpenter and a draftsman. For 25 years, Herb and Erika operated a horse ranch in Anmore. He was an integral part of building trails around Buntzen Lake, was a founding member of the Sasamat Volunteer Fire Department and a former Anmore Councillor. Herb is survived by his wife Erika, sisters Liesbeth(Dieter-predeceased), Erika(Doug), Irmgard(Larry), son Trevor(Susan), daughter Tanya(Nathan), grand children Sarah, Heidi, Peter, Heather, Julia, Emily, and Declan.
