Hiroshi was born in Vancouver, BC on March, 7th, 1932 to parents, Genuemon and Masa Wakabayashi. He is survived by his wife Yoshiko, his son, Casey, daughter, Dana, daughter-in-law, Akemi, and son-in-law, Ron de Villa. He cherished his only two grandchildren, Elina and Ryan. As well, he had two lovely nieces, Louise and Jane (Ray). Hiroshi was the 3rd born among 2 late older sisters (Toshie and Kazue) and a late younger brother, Saburo “Bob” (Michiko).
Until his late 80s, Hiroshi enjoyed singing in a karaoke club in Vancouver. In 2019, he was diagnosed with cancer, but still fought to celebrate a meaningful milestone 90th birthday with his family.
Hiroshi will be remembered for his quiet, yet hard working personality, his love of Japanese udon noodles, and any kind of chips and nuts for snacks!
The family wishes to thank the Vancouver Japanese Gospel Church (VJGC) and Word Christian Community Church (WCCC) families for all their prayers, love, and support!
