My sincere and most heartfelt condolences to Terry and Melissa. Janine was a like a second mother to me through all the years I have worked with her. She has always given me great advice and was always very generous towards me and even my son whom she came to visit. I will always remember Janine through her wonderful stories of her family and travels. She was loved and will be greatly missed by me. I pray she is now in gods arms in peace.

My Yiyi Ahpit was an extremely considerate, compassionate, calm, humble, and generous individual. She was quick to smile and was never afraid to joke around or exchange a funny look. My Yiyi Ahpit was a great aunt and an awesome human being, whose love for her family was always in abundance. She will be deeply missed.

The news of her demise came as a shock to us. Never did we think that Janine commonly known as Ah Pit would be snatched away from us. Hardly had she taken her retirement. She was so close and so dear to us. We always travelled down memory lanes with sweet reminiscences of good old days spent together in Moka and Port Louis. We talked till late into the night until we roared in to laughter with tearful eyes. Oceans have not hindered us to keep close ties. There is now a void in our life and we shall miss her much. When I just arrived in Canada, over 3 years ago, I first met her as my husband's aunt and I was impressed by her kindness and her warmth towards our family. She also impressed me by her inner beauty and also her good and young physical look.She was very attentive to me and I will always remember her like this beautiful and kind lady that I first met 3 years ago.She was very concerned about me getting a job in Canada and when I got my first job, I was so proud to invite her for lunch to celebrate. We will miss her interesting emails and videos that she used to send us and also the Netflix channel that we both liked and talked about every time we met. I will miss Janine very much.

It is with great sadness that I learn that Ah Peak Ha has passed away.  I know Ah Peak Ha for a number of years, even in Mauritius.  She was  very kind, friendly  and approachable person. She will be missed greatly.  We did not keep in touch too often, as I live in Edmonton, but on occasional phone calls, we can talk for a while. She even gave me advice when I went to Mauritius to adopt my son, Kevin twenty seven years ago.

Janine was a kind hearted, generous and caring person and I will always remember her as someone who had great respect for people and tradition. I had the opportunity to have stayed with her for some time while I was a student some 30 years ago while she was living at Audrey Drive and she treated me more than a nephew if not like her own son, to give an idea about how nice she was to me. I will never forget all the good time that I shared with her. Even during the last weeks before she left us, while she was in pain, she still kept her smile and positive attitude. She was also very courageous during that situation. I will always remember her for everything that she taught me while sharing her life experience. I will miss her a lot.
