Irma Frigo

FRIGO, Irma (nee CALORI) Born on May 24, 1925 in Vo di Brendola, VI. Italy. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on a beautiful sunny morning on March 9, 2020, just shy of her 95th birthday. Irma was predeceased by her parents Vittorio and Angela; husband Romano and her siblings Angelo, Armida, Ada, Pasqua, Giovanni and Arturo. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children who she always put before everything else; Jackie (Nicola), Noe (Sadie), Rosi (Doug), Patty (Nino); as well as grandchildren Rob (Laura), Angelo (Vanna), Jesse (Kristy), Alex (Rebecca), Sara (Brandon), Danielle (Matt), Nico, Deena, Luca; great-grandchildren Dafne, Easton, Nicolas, Luke, Evan, Averie, Alessia & Isabella Irma and numerous nieces & nephews in Canada, Italy & USA. Irma will be remembered for her strong faith, hope, peace and endless love, which she spread with all her might. Her contagious smile, open heart, innate kindness, generosity of spirit, and appreciation for life will live on in family, friends and many people whose lives she touched. In her final days, she found the strength to whisper to us, “LA VITA E’ BELLA”. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all her wonderful caregivers at Villa Carital who become her extended family. Viewing will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2020 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 9:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC. Entombment to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the B.C. Lung Association or to the Charity of your choice.
