Ismael’s life was full of adoration. He was dearly loved by his wife, eight children, and thirty plus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On September 24, 1984, Ismael came to Canada with his youngest son and second youngest daughter through the sponsorship of his eldest son and his wife. Ismael came from humble beginnings and chose a career path with construction to provide for his family. Hard work and determination characterized this strong and loving father, grandfather, and husband. Ismael also gained many friendships in Canada.
He joined the Knights of Columbus which was one of the many things that he was proud of. With each relationship he had whether it would be with his children, grandchildren, or even great-grandchildren, he had incredible bonds with those in his family. Ismael was a man of punctuality who can be very serious, but at the same time, one could easily make him laugh. One of his favourite pastimes was reminiscing and talking about his past. Once you got him talking, he did not stop. Ismael De Leon is an unforgettable man who truly cared about those around him. He was the kind of man that knew whenever you needed him, he would be there. Ismael lived a long life full of hard work, pride and love that touched the hearts of many. Because of this, he will always remain in the hearts of his family and close friends and his memory will live on forever.
